      Coq Au Vin the Easy Way

      Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

      2 pounds chicken parts
      2 tbl margarine
      1 can condensed chicken broth -- (10 1/2 ounce)
      1 can mushrooms -- (4 ounce) drained
      1/2 cup red wine
      8 small whole white onions -- peeled
      1 bay leaf
      1 clove garlic -- minced
      1/4 tsp dried thyme
      2 tsp tapioca

      In skillet brown chicken pieces in margarine; transfer to cooker.
      Combine remaining ingredients and pour over chicken. Cover pot and
      cook on low for 7-8 hours, or until chicken is tender. Serves 4.
