Group Description

The Slammer mailing list is intended for discusion and exchanging ideas related to the Slammer rules and or SF/modern skirmish games.
This Group may also discuss other games, scenarios and rule mechanisms
including Dragon Fight, Fokker Fodder and/or Star Wars Tac-Ship.

SLAMMER is a free set of wargame rules for Science Fiction skirmish games using miniatures. It also works quite well for twentieth century or modern games. Slammer is not tied to any specific background or company product line, use whatever figures or models you have.

Slammer is an ongoing project, it seems I add something or try to make existing rules clearer each time I look at it. If (or when) you come across a rule or statement that seems strange or unclear, e-mail the group. I will reply and try to explain or clarify my intentions. I may also include it in the design notes or update rules to cover it. If you disagree with something in Slammer and have an alternative, try it and let me know how it works.

Slammer is published on the internet at: www.loran.karoo.net/slammer/

Rules for dogfights with World War One model aeroplanes.
Original rules created by Les Ward, developed by Chris Nicole, demonstrated and played by Humberside Wargames Society *. These rules work for one off multi-player games and/or for extended campaigns as player pilots survive and improve their skills.

Rules for a tabletop game for 2-6 players featuring combat between Dragons (and other fliers). Dragon Fight was initially derived from Fokker Fodder, but seems to be taking on a life of its own and has spawned/hatched it's own supplement for Naomi Novik's Temeraire novels.

SMLE - Short Magazine Lee Enfield
SMLE is a Slammer variant for WW2 and twentieth century skirmish games.
It is intended for games upto platoon level and allows for multiplayer or solo play.
