      Om Namo Bhagavate Sivanandaya!
      Om Namo Bhagavate Chidanandaya!
      Om Namo Bhagavate Krishnanandaya!

      Namaste!

The Divine Life Society spiritual calendar has now been updated. It is at
      http://www.rsl.ukans.edu/~pkanagar/divine/religions/calendar.htm

Due to an error in a previous calendar, I missed the celebration of Sri
Sankaracharya's appearance day on May 1st. However, it is never too late
to talk about the glories of Sri Sankaracharya. Hence I uploaded a lecture
of Sri Swami Krishnanandaji Maharaj titled "Sankara--The Genius" at
      http://www.rsl.ukans.edu/~pkanagar/divine/religions/sankara_genius.htm

In this lecture, Swami Krishnanandaji analyses the chronological
significance of the work of Sankaracharya in the social history of India.

Yours in the service of Gurudev,

      Pannir

REMEMBER IN ORDER TO FORGET: To Swami X. the Master said, "You should not
think of your sons and daughters. You should forget them. But how to
forget? In order to forget a thing you should remember another thing.
Remember God, then you will be able to forget worldly things."

"Divine Life is not possible without self-control and self-purification.
Self-control augments energy, vitality, vigour and mental strength. Divine
Life is the simplest thing, the most natural life that every man should
lead. But artificial conditions created by advancing
materialism--Kali--have blurred the vision of man, who is led astray in
spite of himself." - Swami Sivananda
