In this month's discourse, "The Bhagavad Gita and Yoga Sadhana", Gurudev
Sri Swami Chidanandaji Maharaj talks about the various Yoga practice
described by Lord Sri Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita. The URL of the
      discourse is:

Yours in the service of Gurudev,

WHEN TO TAKE SANNYAS: Sri Surendra requested the Master to give him
      Sannyas initiation.

"What is your age?" interrogated the Master.

      "Twenty-one," replied Sri Surendra.

"You are too young to take Sannyas," remarked the Master and kept silent.

"Then when can I take Sannyas?" enquired Sri Surendra.

"When two or three of your teeth have fallen and twenty or thirty hairs
have become grey, and at least one eye has developed cataract, you can
take Sannyas!" replied the Master jocularly.

He soon agreed to give Sannyas to Sri Surendra on the ensuing Guru
      Poornima day itself.

"Mind is a bundle of desires. Desires rule and control you. But you are
not the mind. You are the pure, immortal Soul. Desires touch you not.
When the mind is still. When the senses are quiet, when the intellect
ceases functioning, you enter the Silence, wherein dwells the unfathomable
Peace of the Eternal." - Swami Sivananda
