GOD'S DARSHAN: A visitor narrated to the Master a strange phenomenon.
A milkman appeared before him at a time when no milkman could be expected
to be there. The still stranger thing was that one of the hands of the
milkman was brighter than the other. The visitor in question had a doubt
whether the man was a form taken by God or just an illusion, since he did
not think he deserved such Grace.

The Master said, "You should know whether it was an illusion or not."

The visitor admitted his inability to know.

Thereupon the Master said, "You should not tell such experiences to
      others."

The visitor immediately replied, "You are my Guru. An aspirant should
      reveal everything to his Guru."

The Master then closed his eyes for a while and, opening them, said, "It
      was not an illusion."

After a few moments pause he added, "God had given you Darshan (vision)."

"Was it real Darshan?" asked the visitor.

"Just to give you encouragement He gave you Darshan."
