      Om Namo Bhagavate Chidanandaya!
      Om Namo Bhagavate Krishnanandaya!

      Namaste!

We uploaded two articles by Holy Master Gurudev Sri Swami Sivanandaji
Maharaj during Holy Ramnavami on March 25th. The first is an article on
the Ramayana. In this article, Gurudev explains the origins of this
sacred scripture and also a synopsis of Valmiki's Ramayana. This article
      is at:
      http://www.rsl.ukans.edu/~pkanagar/divine/religions/ramayana.htm

The second article is a biography of Samartha Ramdas who is a great
devotee of Lord Rama and the Guru of Shivaji, the founder of the kingdom
of Maharashtra. This article is at:
      http://www.rsl.ukans.edu/~pkanagar/divine/saints/samartha_ramdas.htm

Yours in the service of Gurudev,

      Pannir

ESSENCE OF TEACHINGS: Sri Sushila, a devotee from Delhi, who was a nurse
by profession, met the Master with her sister in his cottage in the
morning. After prostration she gave her diary to him for his autograph and
      blessings.

"Washerman Rs. 8, house rent Rs. 25, vegetables Rs. 5, hotel account Rs.
      26, milkman Rs. 15."

All wondered what the Master was reading from that diary. To the surprise
of everyone it was only from a blank page that he was reading all the
above items. Everyone burst into laughter!

Then the Master inscribed his immortal teachings in the diary: "Serve,
love, give, purify, meditate, realise; be good, do good," and handed it
      back to Sri Sushila.

Sri Sushila was finding it a bit difficult to read what the Master had
written. He helped her and said, "Ohji, try to practise the last
couplet--'be good, do good'--and the others will follow automatically."

"Trust the Divine Grace at every step. Speak to the Lord like a child. Be
candid. Open your heart freely to Him. His grace will at once descend." -
      Swami Sivananda
