In recent months, the SIRALECGUINNESS group had become the prey of repeated spammers
attacks.

In the face of that situation, I, as a moderator of this list, have decided to take action. (I hope
that the listowner will approve!)

1) I have deleted from our archives all of the spam messages that I could find.
2) I have expelled all of the spammers masquerading as members that I could find.
3) I have put on moderation a few members whom I suspect to be potential spammers
4) all new members will now be automatically put under moderation.

Those measures should greatly help rectify the situation. The only negative aspect of
measure no 4 is that it can result in a delay between the moment when someone sends a
legitimate posting and the moment when that message is actually delivered to the rest of us.
But that impact will be minimal, as I am on-line practically everyday.
