Slavic Interest Group (SIG) ListWell... finally after being in the SCA for 6 years I've registered my name and device.

that plus I got a special mention from the Rocket Herald about my "Very nice 15th century russian name and device"

Woohoo! I exist officially now! :)

Congrats on your "official" entry into the Deti
Boiarin! I have yet to achieve that accomplishment but
a friend in another Kingdom has been kindly helping me
towards a successful completion! Is it possible to
      view your new device?

      Fellow SIG members!
The true strength of the SCA in general and SIG in
particular is the free flow of knowledge and ideas!
Both are stronger and each of us as individuals better
than we were before as participants, researchers,
artisans and teachers. Its literally the highest
ideals of the SCA and SIG in action!!! And in the
Slavic University we have a forum to do exactly this
and shine and the next one will probably be out West!

Can anyone think of a more perfect oppurtunity to
spread your knowledge and artistry throughout the
Known World? To say nothing of the boost in reknown
for your craft? The very first Slavic University is a
milestone and the folks who show their talents and
      research will rightfully be remembered!

As an ambitious apprentice (which I was) I would have
leapt at an oppurtunity like this! Plus, I just like
talking shop and teaching folks! This is your
chance...will you let it pass by?

I don't suppose there are plans to put the instructor notes on CD or
      something, is there?

I checked the website offered and did the math and figured out that I
simply don't have the money to attend Slavic U. If I was in the area I'd
love to go, but the money just isn't there for me right now.

I don't know about others, but I'd be more than willing to pay for a cd
with the instructor handouts on it, whether or not I attended.

      Patches
