Here are the parts lists for the 60 meter and 600 meter Sierra band modules.
      ----------------
This puts the Wilderness Sierra on 5.30 to 5.45 MHz, 60 Meters.
The new WARC11 band frequency allocations might be different.
In order to be on the exact frequency the KC2 frequency counter should be installed in your Sierra or an external frequency counter used.

      C1, 2, 33, 36, 64, 66, 70;  9-50 pF vertical mount Variables, Mouser 24AA084, 5 mm, Order a few spares, i got a few bad ones in my batch.
      C47, 49   470 pF  Cer Disk
      C48   910  pF  Cer Disk
      C32 & 35  Do not use
      C34 & 65   5 pF  Cer Disk

      L1 & T1  on Amidon  FT37-61 cores,  25uH, 14" #28 wire, 21 turns.
        (T1 has 2 turns going to 3 &4, 21 turn secondary to 1 & 2)

      L3 & 4  on T37-2 Red core, 14 uH, 57 turns, 36" #28 wire.

      L5 & 6 on T37-2  core, 1.8 uH, 20 turns, 12" #28 wire.

      L8 & 9 on T37-2 core,  7 uH, 41 turns, 24"  #28 wire.

      X8  -  13.300 Mhz  Xtal, (ICM 434162)  (for 5.3 MHz to 5.45 MHz).

PreMix Freq is  10.215 to  10.365 KHz
LP Filter cutoff is 5.5 MHz, 2nd Harmonic is 35 dB down.

      W3 & W4 Jumpers --- None.
Module boards are available from Wilderness Radio, PO Box 734, Los Altos, CA 94023

There are proposed CW frequencies at 5332.0, 5348.0, 5368.0 (maybe replaced by 5358.5), 5373.0 and 5405.0 kHz.
but they have not been authorized yet as of  21 Nov.2007.

      -------------------------------
This is the parts list for a 600 meter Sierra band module (400 - 550 kHz).
Note: The receiver is very narrow and does not cover the entire 400-550 kHz range but will cover about 25 kHz without too much loss of sensitivity.
Special Note: The Sierra internal components (on the main PCB) must also be modified for transmit capability. I have never done this.

Here are the values for the 600 meter Band Module:

      C1, 2, 33, 36, 64, 66, 70;  12-100 pF (Black dot) vertical mount Variable capacitors.

C47 & 49   4300 pF   Cer Chip Caps (You need very small SMD caps for this to all fit under the band module cover.
      C48   7500pF  Cer Chip Cap
      C32 & 35  Not required
      C34  780 pF Cer Chip
      C65   15 pF  Cer disk

      L1 & T1  on Amidon  FT37-77 cores (Black),  1.5 mH, #28 wire, 39 turns.
        (T1 has 2 turns going to 3 &4, 39 turn secondary to 1 & 2)

      L3 & 4  on F37-77 black core, 850 uH, 91 turns,  #28 wire.

      L5 & 6 on F37-77  core, 13 uH, 19 turns,  #28 wire.

      L8 & 9 on F37-77 core,  7 uH, 18 turns,  #28 wire.

      X8  -  8.4 MHz Xtal (for 400 kHz = 0 on dial)

Tx Mix Freq is  5.135 - 5.465 kHz
      Rx Mix is -4.915 kHz = 400>550
      VFO Mix is 2.935 - 3.085
LP Filter cutoff is 0.7 MHz.

      W3 & W4 Jumpers --- None.

This modification is not approved by Wilderness Radio.
i built this band module a few years ago, so this is just a starting point.
Nothing is guaranteed. If you complete the main PCB transmitter
modifications please post your modification details.
