The rig workes super walking around except that any thing that touches the main tuning knob
      turns it.
i need a friction drag for it.
Has anyone ever made a dial drag for the Sierra?

Some put discs of felt under the knob to provide  friction...   I have an older Sierra (no keyer or digital dial) and like it a lot.   Would be better

Would be better though with a keyer and SWR indicator.

         Works great on 160m too.

i have added a felt drag washer under the tuning dial. There is a big one inch hole in the center of the felt to prevent rubbing on the dial plate attachment

i have added a felt drag washer under the tuning dial.
There is a big one inch hole in the center of the felt to prevent rubbing on the dial plate attachment screws.
It works but not real well. The Dial plate is not perfectly flat and the drag is not even.
          But it works.
          Thanks for the idea.
See pix in the W0RW Photo album.
