      This issue has sparked a lot of interesting discussion
      among members of the Higashi Honganji temples. Here is
      something you all may find relevant to that.

      Dr. Nobuo Haneda, director of the Maida Center in Berkeley,
      gave a talk on the future of Jodo Shinshu at the celebration
      of the 100th anniversary of the Higashi Honganji Hawaii
      District. A transcript of his talk is available at the
