On the recent crash of a TAM plane in Sao Paulo, it is believed that a stuck throttle may have been the culprit in the accident.

A lot of things going on with Alitalia as of late. This includes mini-strikes, the CEO quitting, other executives bickering, and the uncertainty of who is buying the company. So, there is always a possibility of cancellations out of Rome or Milan.

American is adding Flint, MI, to New York service.

Asiana starting cargo service to Moscow/Domodedovo.

Seattle Updates..........hotels are still full due to the SeaFair crowd. This is an annual event consisting of boat races, fireworks, concerts, etc...........There are some problems with Amtrak's trains(braking systems) so they have put some trains out of service. As a result, the Seattle-Eugene run has been suspended. Hard to say how this will affect flights, as people do need to get to Oregon.

There was a late SFO outbound trip on Friday, sitting at the gate waiting for maintenance OK. Well, about five people bolted for the door and tripped the alarms at the closed doors on the jetway. No, not some punk kids getting antsy, but at least three of them were GLOBAL SERVICE members making a bee-line for the other SFO trip. You would think these GLOBALS would at least have the courtesy to tell the flight attendants to ask if an agent can let them off!!

On Saturday, a flight broke out between two LAX-based flight attendants on the jetway of a SEA-LAX trip. I did not witness this personally, but heard there was a lot of hair pulling. Fortunately, they were deadheaders and not the working crew. The flight went out a little bit late.

Korean Air has been having problems pushing E-tickets to UAL and AC. So, KAL has been printing a lot of paper tickets for us.

New service on Horizon, from Seattle to Santa Rosa. Might come in handy for some of you.
