Group Description

The San Francisco Beekeepers' Association meets monthly, and we provide referrals for bee-related services (see our website: www.sfbee.org). We also support SF Bay Area urban beekeepers through information sharing at meetings, by conducting/sponsoring classes, and via this discussion group. We appreciate how passionate beekeepers can be about this amazing craft, but feel we need to put some guidelines that we hope you will respect.

1. Request or provide information of interest to the Bay Area beekeeping community regardless of level of interest or experience.

2. Individuals posting messages should recognize a variety of hive management practices, philosophies and styles. Therefore, respectful difference of opinion may be acceptable but demeaning or insulting comments are not tolerated.

3. Posting messages from an individual or groups that offer classes, equipment or services for a fee are acceptable as long as they are in keeping with the interests of group members. Please keep such messages timely, brief and provide a link where interested readers may get more detailed information if desired. The moderators of the group and the SFBA reserve the right to limit commercial postings.

4. Please keep messages as short as possible to convey your information, opinion or ideas. A link as stated above is preferred for extended information. Be mindful of what you say, inflammatory language may be insulting to someone else and will be dealt with by the moderator.
