Group Description

Sephardic Cooking and Culture is a group for those of Sephardic Ancestry, those that fall under the Pan-Sephardic Category and those that just want to enjoy the foods and cultures of Jews from the Iberian Peninsula to the South of India. All the way to the Shores of the Caribbean and North America and beyond . When people think of Jewish cooking in most places in the World the first thing that comes to mind is Gefilte fish and Matzo balls, brisket and tzimmes.

But what people do not know is that there is a whole other world of Jewish food out there that is waiting to be explored. The cooking of the Jews of Syria is one of the best kept secrets out there.

What a lot of people also don't realise is that there of over 100,000 Black Jews living and worshipping in America at this moment. This is a perfect opportunity to explore the wonderful foods the African-American and African-Carribean Comuunites have contributed to the world.

Since this is a Jewish centered site it is much appreciated that we keep it that way. No missionaries, No racist crap. No messianics. No trolls. No interlopers trying to push their anti-semetic views. This is food and culture we are talking about.
