Would anyone have an idea of what sort of transmission this could be?

      Hi,
Would anyone be able to tell me what sort of transmission I was receiving on 6.979 MHz Wide-L 3.2KHz filter? By the shape I was thinking very noisy RTTY, but the wave seems to cycle and almost winds on itself. I have put the images in photos.
      Thanks

Hi Andy, I don t get now anything there, but is it the same kind of signal that is at 6.8936, 6.9036, 8.408, 8.4635, 8.4922, 132252 and a lot of other places?

From Andy’s description, it sounds a lot like STANAG 4285.  Most of the instances I’ve found have not been decodable, but Multipsk and Sorcerer support that mode, when it’s in the clear.

This was also my assumption so I asked about checking the other frequencies. STANAG 4285 can be received with SIGMIRA, but if the transmission is encrypted

STANAG 4285 can be received with SIGMIRA, but if the transmission is encrypted your chances are near null.  French and Italian Navies usually transmit channel fillers unencrypted.
