Stories are invitations to conversations, and it sounds like the team
didn't get the chance to have their say.
What I would do is go back to the original story and pull the team in to
show them how you got from it to where you ended up. And then find out
what they would have done. Along the way I bet you'll find the right
answer for both of you.
