Subject: [scrumdevelopment] Scrum Web Management Tool

      Hi all,
it is officially opened the Scrum project on
      sourceforge.net
I'm building a web based tool for managing Scrum
      application
      under the Gpl license.
The application is going to be written in Java, for
      being
scalable on every platform, using J2EE XML and also
      XSL.
The application will fully integrate with Ken's
      spreadsheet
for letting Scrum Masters to work alone with their
      current
methods and to synchronize on the web their work.
      Another button
will be added to the Excel Addin, that enables web
      project
synchronization. This is done through the exposition
      of the application
      as a Web Service.

I'm currently working with another skilled java
      developer Mike, and we need
some volunters helping us in developing code, in
      testing and in
      adviceing about functional requirements.

It will be good if, for this project we're going to
apply scrum virtually and we are going to define
sprint, making sprint review, defining sprint goals
and defining a backlog. I would like these statements
will be built using exclusively virtual channel.

About this statement, I define an Irc channel where
every Scrum Master could come and could give its
      impression and its requirements.
The Irc network is FreeNode and the channel is
      #scrumoss

About this statement, I define a wiki at address
      http://www.c2.com/cgi/wiki?ScrumWebTool where all the
      idea persist.

This is a trial I would like, and I would be glad
considering all the Certfified Scrum Master as The
Project Owner. I will be the Scrum Master for
this Project and I would like the team will work on
      the accepted statements.

On wiki, I'll put the first back log and you project
owner (whole scrum master comunity) will put your
      idea.
My team is currently investigating about a technology
for voting backlog issues in this way I let you
customer in vote which are the first tasks
      for the first sprint.

I would like to collect a pool of other 4-5 developers
skilled in java, skilled in J2ee and skilled in web
      design.
An expert skilled in the integration Excel with Web
      Services is welcome.

We are going to do Sprint of 30 days with a bunch of
      prioritized functionality.
The first sprint starts on July 2003 1st. On 1st
August we will pleased to put online the first sashimi
      for getting your impressions.

      Everything will be on SourceForge.net.

Ken (Master Scrum Master) you are welcome for major
improvement and for backlog statements definition.

      ciao
      Francesco
