After writing 1632, Eric Flint decided to turn it into a series and
together with David Weber they came up with this book. It begins just
about where 1632 left off. This time it is Cardinal Richelieu of
France who is their biggest foe. Now the Americans must fight to save
their new nation from Richelieu and his League of Ostend. With the
action moving between England, France, Germany and Holland this novel
is fast pace and very engaging. One other thing is that this novel
and 1632 can read on their own. I am looking forward to the next one.
      I give this 4.70 stars.
