      作者簡介

      Christine Liu Perkins 為兒童文學寫作已長達十年,專於有關中國的非小說
      以及華裔美國人的小說,並於近日洽談第一本關於馬王堆的書,這本書之靈感
      來自於台北故宮的馬王堆展。她在雜誌上有刊載過各類文章,包含漢代古墓 、
      ㄧ則椰子的民間傳說、醫師老爸的ㄧ生 、以及一些個人的育兒文章。
      Christine剛從有五百位會員的 SCBWI洛磯山分會卸任諮詢工作,並在史丹福大
      學擁有教育心理學博士學位。曾在幼時在台北住過一年的她目前常旅居台灣。

      Writing and illustrating literature for children is fun,
      challenging, and fulfilling, but it can also be tough, discouraging,
      and frustrating. How do you keep your motivation going through the
      ups and downs? Come hear Christine Liu Perkins discuss ways to
      keep your perspective positive, plus how-to's to enhance your
      creative practice. She has used these ways to persevere through
      ten years of highs and lows.

      AUTHOR BIO:

      Christine Liu Perkins has been writing children's literature for ten
      years, focusing on nonfiction about China and fiction about Chinese-
      Americans. She is currently negotiating her first deal for a book
      on the Mawangdui tombs, which she first learned about from seeing an
      exhibit in Taipei's National Palace Museum. She has published in
      magazines on topics ranging from Han Dynasty tombs, an original
      folktale on coconuts, the life of her doctor-father, and personal
      essays on parenting. She just retired as Co-Regional Advisor for
      SCBWI's Rocky Mountain Chapter, which has 500 members. Chris
      earned a Ph.D. in educational psychology from Stanford University in
      California. As a child she lived in Taipei for a year and since
      then has visited Taiwan several times.
