OK, this may stir a few opinions but here goes anyway.
Understanding that some body mod practices predate recorded history,
*and* especially where tattoos are concerned, there is no easy way
to cover up the intrusivly mundane, except for covering up, what is
the general consensis?
The personal disclosure...I have a large Greenman tattoo on my
chest. The Motif and art itsself is period, the tattoo style is not
(Viking and Celtic Knots would be, mine is "linework").
Part two - my family has many holes. I have two earrings an ear as
does M'lady. My eldest boy one ear only and my Daughter one each.
There are a few unmentionable ones as well.
My tattoo has been warmly recieved, I think the Greenman motif makes
up for the minor artistic OOP issue. As for piercings I was looking
for *better jewelery* as much as for supporting info for a variety
of locations. Stainless isn't quiet right for Maille and is
completely wrong through your bits.
I can find piercing references - especially for travelers - to
hide/hold a nest egg of value. Should I just start looking for nice
granny gold and pearl sets?
