Way to go Judith!
Excellent answer - very well put!
Anyone who is unsure of which SCA Kingdom/barony/shire/canton/region they
are in can use this website to locate their nearest group.
The Society website: http://www.sca.org/ also has lots of other information
for newcomers, look on the upper right hand corner for links labeled 'Advice
for Newcomers', 'About the SCA', 'Find Your Local Group' and 'Activities'.

Welcome Tiffany and Mr. Tiffany!
SHORT ANSWER: You live in the Barony known as Sternfeld. Here's your
group's website: http://www.midrealm.org/sternfeld/
LONG ANSWER which will tell you how to find the short answer if you
In looking at the SCA website, http://www.sca.org/, you'll see in the
upper right-hand side of the page a list that begins "New to the SCA?"
and below that a few links in red. The lowest red link before the
little green bar is "Find your local group."
That link leads to this page: http://www.sca.org/geography/
findsca.html -- And if you look down, there's a nice big black header
which reads "How do I find them?" Right in that section there's a link
which will take you to a page that lets you put in your city and state.
You're in my kingdom, called the Middle Kingdom or the Midrealm. Our
website is http://www.midrealm.org, and there's a helpful section on
the opening page (scroll down to What's Where). The second link in
that list is "Need to find a local SCA branch?"
Clicking that will bring you to
, and the first link on that page leads to a nice color-coded map of
the kingdom's regions, http://www.dragonscaleconsort.com/cartography/.
(Lower down that page, it also says that Indiana is called
Constellation.) Clicking that map's Indiana outline gives you a good
idea of where your area is. Indianapolis is located in the barony of
Sternfeld, right at the middle of the map in light turquoise. Yay, we
found your group! :) And here's your group's website:
There, now you know how to find the answers you seek if you think that
you have a question that's "too simple" to ask us here. But there's
nothing that's "too simple" for us. We're just glad to have you, and
can't wait to meet you!
