<<< i am not a new comer ive been in and out of the sca for over 20
years and have not found a place to rest my feet. i have an award of
arms for carpentry from many years back when i was in canton of
brackendalve (i was one of the founding member). >>>

Since you were one of the founding members of this group, do you know
why that name was selected or whether there is any interesting group
heraldry that fits in with that selection?

I'm always looking for the histories of SCA group names which I don't
      already have.

Even newcomers might be interested in looking at these files in the
Florilegium and seeing where the group names, including their kingdom
      name, came from:

hope to hear from somebody. i have try to make connect with other
groups with no respouse's (i live in wixom mi)

Are you trying to locate the groups closest to you? Or have you had
trouble with your local groups and you are trying to figure out how to
fix this? Particularly in smaller groups, you can find that the
members may have particular interests that don't line up with yours.
You are into Arts and Sciences activities and a group is mostly full
of fighters. Or vice-versa. Sometimes you can get folks interested in
your interests, but sometimes finding another nearby group which lines
up more with your interests is the way to go.

If it is mostly a matter of just becoming a productive, valued member
of your local group, perhaps this file in the NEWCOMERS section might
      be of interest:
