      I join my voice to all SCA japan-lovers who
      experienced those commentaries. About 12 years ago,
      our household leader received commentaries like those
      you're talking about. He wrote to the East Kingdom
      Seneschal, who told him japan caracters had their
      place in the SCA. I'm keeping the letter and used to
      bring it to past events, just in case some " tarla "
      (i.e. idiot) would dare to try annoying me...
