      Greetings Everyone!

This one had planned to post information about this event after the
weekend, but as it has come up...

On February 14, 2009, The Barony of Grey Niche in the Kingdom of
Gleann Abhann is hosting Candlemas: A Heian New Year Celebration!
This is a one day event focusing on Arts and Sciences. There will be
an A&S competition in two categories: Japanese and non-Japanese. We
will have 3 class tracts: Japanese, non-Japanese, and Combat Arts as
well as Children's activities, a period Heian feast, and a very
special guest speaker, Matsushita Sachiko. Sachiko-hime is the Japan
Outreach Initiative Coordinator at the University of Memphis. She
will be lecturing/presenting The Tale of Genji, which she studied with
      Royall Tyler.

This one has placed the flyer for the event in the files section of
this group. Many on this group live so far from Memphis that coming
to the event is not possible. For those traveling a long distance,
crash space can be arranged, if requested. Please email this one with
any questions you may have. Join Grey Niche as we Fall in Love with
      the Arts.
