      Gentles,

There are many informative and interesting things under way in the Asian Art community
      of the Bay!

      Chinese Calligraphy Demonstrations
Saturdays and Sundays, June 17 and 18, and July 1 and 2
      1:00 pm–4:00 pm
      North Court

Award winning artist Aiqin Zhou demonstrates the basic styles and techniques of Chinese
      calligraphy.

Ms. Zhou is a colleague of mine and her teaching style is warm, humble, and very good for
      beginners.

      ---

      Japanese Noh Theater Masks
      Thursday–Sunday, June 1–30
      12:00– 4:00 pm
      Target Tuesday, June 6
      10 am–12:30 pm
      Samsung Hall

Master artist Bidou Yamaguchi is a disciple of the Hosho Noh school in Japan. Mr.
Yamaguchi will be demonstrating some of the principles of Noh mask carving. While a
much respected traditional artist, Mr. Yamaguchi also experiments in inter-cultural
imeages, including a Mona Lisa mask done in Noh fashion! DaVinci Code, take note!

      ---

These and many more educational opportunities are here, for you, at the Asian Art
      Museum of San Francisco.

      Be well,

The Asian Art Museum is ludicrously easy to get to via mass transit. I
        BART over all the time.

        Fun stuff!
