show the pleats being loosely *sewn* into the things, at
least when they're stored. Might help to tack 'em down with
"tailor tacks" (a stitch to hold linings etc. in place) and
then iron them.
If you're using one of those Oh So Period And Classy natural
fabrics (technically, *no* cotton - silk, ramie, or hemp)
try getting it wet before you iron it - wet as in just out
of the rinse cycle, not soaking. (Don't try this on shiny
silk or you will probly get water spots. Ask your dry
cleaner if they have any ideas).
Crank your iron (Test On Non-Obvious Place First) and go for
If that doesn't do it, try asking one of those outfits that
sells baled kimono how the !@#$%^& they do it. (Do they
pack those things wet, or what??? The wrinkles in baled
silk are incredibly resistant to fixing!)
