(*true* court caps, as worn by kuge, like the one in

( http://www.iz2.or.jp/fukusyoku/wayou/20.htm ), the tate eboshi of the
samurai ( http://www.iz2.or.jp/fukusyoku/busou/14.htm ), or the ori eboshi
( http://www.iz2.or.jp/fukusyoku/busou/5.htm )?
Only one of these -- the kanmuri -- is truly a "court cap." The rest are
daywear or part of "the uniform".
