Learn some of the traditional Yoruba songs used to worship some of the major Orisa in this lively and engaging workshop. Learn the meaning and the correct pronunciation of the songs to effectively worship the Orisa. In this workshop you will learn:· Traditional Yoruba songs for Obatala, Eshu, Oshun, Yemoja, Ogun, Sango, and Ori· The translation of each song in English.· The proper pronunciation of each song.· The circumstances in which we sing to Orisa.Included in this workshop will be a guide which includes all the songs as well as an audio cd of the songs.Tuition: $25 in advanced/

Please included the workshop name is the email subject line.About the Presenter:Sangobukunmi Fasheye Odushola also know as Jamel Cherry is a traditional Yoruba priest of Shango and Ifa. He was initiated in Yorubaland into the Sango priesthood by the Elegun of Sango, Baba Sangodele Ibuowo. He was also initiated as an Ifa priest by Baba Fakayode Faniyi and the Idin Ileke Ifa Temple . He is currently a student under Baba Ifakayode Faniyi, the Agbongbon of Osogbo. As a lifetime student and documentarian of African
spirituality, divination, and healing, Sangobukunmi conducts workshops sharing some of the knowledge he has acquired on his journey. He also leads the Ile Ori L'agba spiritual community.
He is also a certified Holistic Health Counselor, Spiritual Life Coach, and third-degree Reiki Master. He studied African holistic health and traditional African medicine with various healers and received his certification as an African healer in African Science and Healing by Dr. Kofi Asare, noted Ghanian healer and herbalist. He also completed an Indigenious African Spiritual Technology apprenticeship under the direction of Malidoma Some, African Shaman and Phd scholar. He studied holistic health and nutrition while receiving his certification as a Holistic Health Counselor at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, the largest nutrition school in the world. He is a registered lifetime member of the American Association for Drugless Practitioners.
