Audatex is currently seeking a Software Engineer with Data Warehouse experience. This person will support the development, coding, testing, debugging and documentation of ETL processes that populate the data warehouse and the data marts supporting new and existing Business Intelligence applications. Environment is Oracle 11gr2, Exadata, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), and OBIEE v10.
Candidates must have strong Oracle PL/SQL skills supporting data warehousing. Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica or Oracle Data Integrator is highly desired. Experience with Java is also desired, but optional.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Maintain existing ETL PL/SQL procedures.
•Develop new ETL procedures using ODI.
•Produce quality software products, utilizing best practice methodology and technology.
•Review functional requirements and data models, and translate into ETL design processes that effectively populate data warehouse tables.
•Communicate with the Business Analyst and Data Architect to fully understand requirements, provide feedback, and request clarification, as needed.
•Review and interpret data models.
•Conduct ETL design reviews with the Data Architect and DBAs to ensure that code meets performance requirements.
•Conduct ETL design reviews with the Application Architect and QA staff to ensure understanding of the procedures written.
•Follow configuration and change management processes.
•Collaborate with different development teams throughout the US and other international locations.h cost perspective.
EDUCATION, SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:
•Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information systems is required.
•Minimum five (5) years experience in Software Development.
•Minimum two (2) years experience with Oracle 10g (11g preferred).
•Minimum one (1) year experience coding extract, transform and load procedures.
•Minimum one (1) year working on the population of a data mart or data warehouse.
•Knowledge of Scrum and Agile methodology, a plus.
•Ability to effectively communicate with others at all levels of the Company both verbally and in writing.
•Demonstrates a courteous, tactful and professional approach with employees and others.
•Ability to accurately establish the length and difficulty of tasks and projects, set reasonable objectives and goals, anticipate and adjust for problems/roadblocks and measure results against goals.
•Ability to perform and orchestrate multiple activities simultaneously.
•Ability to perform special assignments as requested by the Management team of Product Development.
•Ability to coordinate the software development lifecycle processes with cost perspective.
