Qualities of a Perfect Devotee that is dear to God

Gist: A devotee who desires nothing, is pure and who accepts (maintains equanimity in) all situations that come to him, (as God's divine blessings) is dear to God. Extremely dear are those who along with having mark of perfect devotees with enthusiasm and vigor, they have exclusive faith and devotion in God alone.

Arjun: What are the marks of the four types of favorite devotees who have attained You? What qualities are found in them?

Krishna: He is free from malice towards all beings. He is friendly and compassionate. He has no feeling of "I" and "mine." To him, pleasure and pain are alike. He is forgiving by nature. He is ever content, in all circumstances. His body, mind and senses remain under his control and his mind and intellect are surrendered to Me. Such a devotee with a firm resolve is dear to Me. (Gita 12:13-14)

He from whom, the world is not disturbed, and who is never disturbed by the world. He who is free from mundane pleasures, envy, fear and anxiety is dear to Me. (Gita 12:15)

He who desires (craves) nothing, who is both internally and externally pure, is wise has achieved the aim (God Realization) for which human life was bestowed upon him. He is free from worry, has risen above all distractions and has renounced all undertakings done for pleasures and prosperity, such a devotee is dear to Me. (Gita 12:16)

He who neither rejoices in favorable situations, nor hates unfavorable ones, nor grieves in unpleasant circumstances, nor desires pleasant ones and who has renounced attachment and aversion to good and evil actions, such a devotee is dear to Me (Gita 12:17)

He who is alike an enemy and a friend; also in honor and dishonor; who is the same in favorable and unfavorable situation, in pleasure and pain and is free from attachment, to whom praise and reproach are equal, who is content with whatever comes unasked for, is not attached to home and body, is steady minded – such a devotee is dear to Me. (Gita 12:18-19)

Arjun: But who is extremely dear to You?

Lord Krishna: Those who endowed with resolute faith and devotion, are solely devoted to Me, and follow the marks of the perfect devotees, as described above with enthusiasm and vigor – such aspiring devotees are extremely dear to Me. (Gita 12:20)
