      The King's Russia Institute wishes to
      establish two new posts at the lecturer or senior lecturer level for
      social scientists working on contemporary Russia. Fields of interest
      within the social sciences are open and broad, with applications
      particularly (but not exclusively) welcome in the fields of the domestic political economy of energy, demographics, social policy, and
      sub-national politics.
      The post holders are expected to conduct
      and publish high-quality, original research in their own field, and to
      contribute to taught MSc programmes and PhD supervision. A track record
      in research income generation and PhD supervision will be an advantage.
      The appointees are expected to have enthusiasm for interdisciplinary
      research, teaching and scholarship on Russia, with an ability to
      motivate and support other academic staff, along with students. 
      Post holders at the Senior Lecturer level should be able further to
      demonstrate a distinguished record of scholarly publication and
      established success in research income generation and PhD supervision. 
      The job will be located at the Strand Campus, King's College London. 
      The closing date for receipt of applications is 3 January 2013. Interviews will be scheduled week commencing 21 January.   
      Equality of opportunity is College policy. 
      The appointment will be made, dependent on relevant qualifications, within Grade 6-8, currently from £31,020 to
      £37,012 for Grade 6 Lecturer, from £38,141 to £45,486 for Grade 7
      Lecturer, and from £46,846 to £54,283 for Grade 8 Senior Lecturer, plus
      £2,323 London Allowance per annum.
