Can these rugs possibly be real at these prices?
- http://oldcarpet.org/ and for a specific example: http://oldcarpet.org/index.php/abadeh-rug-persian-rugs-1934.htm?SID=0c755975607d20e98c08f891f57d5d2e
2'4" x 4'8" = 28" x 56" = 1568 square inches * 210 kpsi = 329,280 knots.
How fast can the worlds fastest carpet maker knot? 360 knots per hour? 720 surely would be approaching world record speed and would not be sustainable for hours and hours on end.
329,280 / 720 = 457.33 hours of labor = 71 cents per hour???
That's with no consideration for retailer markup, shipping from IRAN to US, for materials or production of the materials, dying etc.
How can this be?
