    GEOGRAPHY/TOURISM & HOSPITALITY: Assistant Professor (#C11-001)

    Central Connecticut State University’s Geography Department invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Tourism and Hospitality Studies beginning January 2011. Responsibilities include teaching introductory and upper level courses in the Tourism and Hospitality Industry and/or Tourism Geography. The candidate is expected to play a key role in the administration of our Tourism & Hospitality Studies program including supervision of interns, advising students, and contributing to our growing outreach activities with the local and regional tourism and hospitality industry. A strong commitment to teaching and an active program of research and publication are expected.

    Qualifications:  Ph.D. in Geography, Tourism and Hospitality or allied field (ABD will be considered); teaching experience in geography or hospitality studies required. Practical/outreach experience in tourism and hospitality preferred.  Credentials and experience substantially comparable to the above will be considered.
