      INVTUR 2010 – Tourism Research: State of the Art and Future Perspectives

      University of Aveiro, Portugal | 10 – 13 March 2010

       

      The INVTUR 2010 – Tourism Research: State of the Art and Future Perspectives conference will take place between 10th and 13th March 2010, and aims at providing a unique opportunity to discuss the role of tourism research. Special attention will be given to the production of PhD and MSc dissertations in the world, and its relevance to the industry. 

      Academics and researchers from all around the world are invited to contribute with papers. Papers may focus in areas such as a the state of the art of tourism research, emerging research areas and issues, national experiences, how tourism research should be oriented in the future, liaisons between tourism research and the tourism sector, etc.  Papers will further be grouped into thematic parallel sessions.

      The Conference aims at creating a forum of discussion where differentiated points of view may be presented. Contributions from mature academics and young researchers are very welcome. In addition to academics, the conference is open to entrepreneurs, investors, organisations and public and private entities that operate in the sector, as well as to employees of public administration.

      International recognized academics will act as keynote speakers and will provide ground of discussion concerning the importance of tourism research and its value to the industry. The conference will include thematic parallel sessions were a wide variety of papers and international experiences will be presented.

      CALL FOR PAPERS

      There are four types of works to be accepted for the conference: full papers and extended abstracts (no later that October 15th), posters (no later than December 1st) and communications (no later than January 15).
