      Co-sponsored by China Geography Specialty Group and Recreation, Tourism and Sports Specialty Group.

      Rudi Hartmann is would like to organize sessions focusing on the following: China's increasing role/participation in world tourism and its economic, social, cultural and environmental impacts in selected destination areas in China;  travel to/from Taiwan and its political implications; selected segments of the tourism market such as cultural heritage/ethnic tourism, nature tourism, casino development in Macau, ski resort development in China and last not least an analysis/discussion of the Beijing Olympics.
