The Department of Recreation, Park and Tourism Sciences at Texas A&M University is ecstatic to announce an Assistant Professor, tenure track position in Tourism. The position announcement is attached and the review of applications will begin February 1, 2008.
DEPARTMENT OF RPTS:
The department is entering an exciting period of change, with a significant increase in the faculty over the past five years. Our 27 faculty members provide leadership in many interdisciplinary initiatives across the university, including the Institute of Renewable Natural Resources. The Department, one of the largest of its kind, enrolls over 350 undergraduate and 80 graduate students.
TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY:
Texas A&M University, the Land Grant institution in the state, is a Tier-1 research university committed to adding 400 faculty members over a 4-year period and strengthening its diversity. Enrollment is 46,000 students; the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences includes 15 departments and 325 faculty.
