      Mulpha Chair in Hotel and Tourism Asset Management [Vacancy ID 27094]

      Southern Cross University seeks to appoint a leading scholar to the above position, located within
      The School of Tourism and Hospitality Management. The School is an award winning provider of tourism
      and hospitality education in Australia, and possesses a well developed research culture that supports
      prominent scholars, research centres and projects.

      The Mulpha Chair has been established through a unique partnership between Southern Cross
      University and Mulpha Australia Limited, whose property portfolio includes the InterContinental Sydney,
      Hayman Island, the Hyatt at Sanctuary Cove, and Bimbadgen Winery in the Hunter Valley, NSW.

      The appointee must have an outstanding research track record. A coherent research agenda directed
      to hotel and tourism asset management is also vital to your application. Research themes could include
      but are not limited to: climate change and its potential impacts on island resorts; tourism labour markets;
      economic forecasting and capital investment in tourism resources; the social impacts of hotel and resort
      development; sustainable energy technologies; construction management. Potential applicants from any
      disciplinary background are therefore strongly encouraged to apply.
