      International Conference on

“Contemporary Research in Tourism and Hospitality: Theory, Practice and Pitfalls”

On behalf of the organisers, I am glad to inform you that we have received the confirmation from another outstanding keynote speaker from the United Nations HQ in New York for this international conference. As mentioned in the first call for abstracts, the UNEP’s Global Partnership for Sustainable Tourism also confirmed a keynote presentation at the conference. We have an excellent line-up of international speakers and all their biographies are presented in the conference website: http://www.pondiuni.edu.in/conferences/tourism/crth2014/key-note.php

The conference organisers invite extended abstracts from established scholars, early-career researchers as well as PhD students – before the extended deadline 31st October 2013.

This four-day conference will also involve publishers, tourism authorities and the tourism and hospitality industry representatives providing an excellent opportunity for networking and to share your research findings. The objective of this important conference is to exchange and debate ‘contemporary research’ in tourism, events and hospitality domains by inviting researchers around the world for the first time to Pondicherry, a famous tourist destination.

For conference themes, programme, and accommodation details, please visit the website: http://www.pondiuni.edu.in/conferences/tourism/crth2014/ .

For the information of International delegates: minibuses will be arranged to collect conference delegates from the Chennai (Madras) International Airport (MAA) at 3-4 hour regular intervals on 17 Feb 2014 and drop off on 22 Feb 2014. Chennai International Airport has excellent connections with all cities in India and daily “direct” connections to Europe, USA, Middle East and South East Asia. Delegates will be emailed at a later stage with the information about how to contact the conference team members (e.g. mobile number) after landing at the Chennai International Airport. Chennai is around 140kms from Pondicherry (approx. 2 ½ hrs. journey).

We look forward to welcoming you to Pondicherry, India in 2014!!

      Kind regards,

      Vijay
