When Guru Gobind Singh ji first visited Malva in Punjab, it was a
wasteland due to lack of rain. Its people served Guru Gobind Singh
with great love and devotion. Dalla brar was their leader...
One day Guru Gobind Singh and Dalla Brar were walking in the
countryside. Seeing a common weed, Guru Gobind Singh
observed,"Dalla, look at the lovely mangoes."
"Sir that is just a common weed,"Dalla corrected.
"Say they are mangoes,"the master said.
"how can can i say they are mangoes? That is a weed!" Dalla insisted
At another place, grass was growing.
"what a fine crop of wheat,"the Master said.
"Sir , it is merely grass,"Dalla replied
"Say it is a wheat,"the Master tried to persuade him.
"Sir y should i say so? It is all grass,"Dalla answered.

"O fool, if you had agreed with me." the Master said,

"wheat and mangoes would have grown here....

But not now. After your death, canals will flow through this land
and there will be an abundance of wheat, mangoes and other crops,"

You should go and see that area today....

Guru Nanak Sahib once asked his disciples to eat a dead body that
was lying before them. Now, can u image, to obey sucha a order
seemed inconceivable. Everyone except Bhai Lehna thought their
Guru's order to be most improper and left.
Only Lehna was ready to east un questioningly. First he walked
around the body. Guru Nanak asked him," what are you doing?''
      "Hazur,"he replied,"i m wondering where should i start."
As he went to eat, he found there was no body there at all. On the
contrary, there, lying before him,was a sweet halva, blessed by his
      master.
Similarly, when Guru Gobind singh put his disciples to the test,
only five out of five thousand turned out to be true devotees.
Guru Nanak made bhai Lehna his successor and he was knownas Guru
Angad Dev, which meams 'heat of my heart, limb of my limb'.
When a Master outs his disciples to the test, even the mist exalted
      amongst them can fail.

It is very difficult for a human to pass the Master's test
