      You can do this with mod_link. You can link to external content via the module
      URL to an external RDF file. The link spec specifies this but require the
      semantics for module links be defined within the module that wants to supply the
      link.

      IE mod_content needs to specify that it can support links with the
      http://www.purl.org/rss/1.0/modules/link relation under <item>
