  • I have a Dummy with the original bag style and love it, use it for my business, my 17 year old niece has been helping me at the Farmer's market and needs a bike to ride and carry her 26 pound dog. So I'm thinking about adding an xtracyle to my LHT and using a sidecar for the dog, in a carrier. I have a sidecar but don't use it much. Any thoughts on this? Also for economy I'm...

  • I've used my sidecar 3 times now. First time I had the tightness or looseness of the hinge thing just right, until I visited the bike shop to show it off, the mechanic put some tight grip on the screws then tightened them too much, as soon as I left the Dummy started handling squirrely. I stopped and loosened the screws and all was fine. Second time I had a giant Tupperware...

  • I have an eZee front motor on my dummy, have had it about a year and a half and love it. One reason I like the front motor is that I carry heavy loads having the motor on the front balances the weight. The local bike store has a couple of bikes that are bionx electric and last time I brought the dummy in for service they lent me one to get home. It's a whole different thing to...

  • I electrified my dummy about a year ago. Love it! Here's a picture of my bike, you can see the battery mounted behind the seat, There's a piece of gray foam between the battery and the metal on the frame. It's strapped on with a black strap, that's what the mechanic did , I put duck around the upper part just because I love duck tape. This has stayed in place with no problem...

  • I already pre-ordered a sidecar. Was thinking about a trailer but this looks more convenient and better price. --- In rootsradicals@^$1, Pete B wrote: > > http://gomeansgo.org/2012/05/10/xtracycle-sidecar/ > > Xtracycle sidecar. > > Written by Ryan on May 10, 2012. > Posted in Bicycle , > Gear 5 > Comments > > > > This is coming out Fall 2012 from Xtracycle and > I gotta say it...

  • My condolences on the stolen Dummy. If mine were stolen I'd be like Pee Wee in his Big Adventure Movie when his bike got stolen.

  • I've got a front wheel hub and am happy with it. I carry some heavy loads and like how it balances out the bike. Absolutely love the electric motor. Rode for 3 years without one and got mine in May. I can carry more stuff because of it.

  • No, but have to say I hesitated for over a year to buy one and finally did this Spring. No regrets, my favorite thing is the deployment before swinging leg over to get off the bike. Also makes loading so easy you don't have to be so careful balancing the sides so the bike doesn't tip over. I've even used the snap deck as a chair at the market it's so stable.

  • I'm 5' 3" and had a problem getting on and off my fully loaded Dummy until I got the rolling jackass kickstand. It was hard to press the buy now button because of the price but now wish I had done it sooner. What I really like about it is the handlebar deployment, you can put the kickstand down before you swing your leg over. It's so stable I can sit on the back of my bike. With...
