So I figured out what was going wrong. Turns out there is a big
difference between putting the spring over the stand (the wrong way)
as opposed to under it (the right way). Maybe this could be made
      clearer in the instructions?

      Anyway, it's all good now.

      Thanks,
      Neil

      Hey,

I just tried to get the Kick Back installed on my BD. I used the
instructions and I used that groove in the rear dropout to attach the
spring. However I could not get the stand to go up, despite the fact
that string was taught. As I was looking at it, the static cord loop
came off the spring on the rear end. I know the stand should work with
the BD. Any pointers on where I might be going wrong?

      Thanks,
      Neil
