Re: [rootsradicals] Examples of Xtracycle in-use in non-cycling online forums?
- For a while, I was using my Xtracycle to carry my children's magic show and balloon animal business. In fact, for about 2 years that is exactly how I carried my program to all the venues in my local area. Quite often I would set up at the local Farmers MArket with my Xtracycle and all my balloons spread out in buckets on the Snap Deck. It worked Quite well. the problem now comes in that I have to carry a LOT more stuff! and distances are longer. But on the other hand, I should be able to do a bit more with my X this summer

I'd like to know if anybody is active on any non-bike specific internet forums where they've had the chance to incorporate their Xtracycle into a post there. As I'm waiting to build mine, I've come across all sorts of videos, blogs and forums talking about Xtracycle, but all are bike-related venues.
For instance, I've come across a couple of posts of Xtracycle owners commuting to ski areas, but haven't seen any pics or writeups at Epic Ski or the alt.ski. newsgroup to spread the good word.
A long time ago I built and flew radio control gliders. I always wanted to find a way to carry one by bike to the top of the hill. The Xtracycle would make that pretty simple. I don't visit any R/C forums, but wonder if anybody else does this and has posted their experience. Maybe I'll build one up and do that this coming summer.
I'm betting there are a ton of opportunities out there to share Xtracycles with non-cycling communities, and would love to see what you've come up with or discovered.
