I really like the homegrown solution for rails in back that you did, vs the Hooptie. I mean, if the bike’s job is to haul kids on a regular and routine basis, the Hooptie is a fine solution. DIY allows you to design in more flexibility, though, which I like. For example, I like to tow a bike to one side, which some kids seats and the Hooptie itself would block.
I’m inspired by your project. I’m going to try and noodle up something where the barware hinged to swing down to the sides when not in use.
