      Lisa makes a good point. Perhaps what you can access has to do with the age of the divorce. And like her, I don't remember the era you were working in either.

      Both of the divorces I obtained, I got out in Pawt. at the Supreme Judicial Records Both divorces were 1940's; 1944 & 1946. BTW, very easy to get to & ample free parking.

      The smaller file cost me $3 and the larger one $3.80, both plus my time at the copying machine & drive time. I probably could have save a couple sheets of paper but at 20ยข a sheet, I copied everything including the manila file sleeve....you never know when you'll notice some useful detail you didn't notice the first time around.

      Update: What I got from Family Court was just the
      decree - Names, date of divorce and case number. There was
      some other information, such as reason for divorce and
      request for a name change back to a maiden name.
