    Call for Abstracts

    Abstract submissions are invited for Birth India’s Annual Natural Childbirth Conference, 2012. The conference seeks to widen interest and awareness of natural and supported birth and discuss ways to transform the current high levels of medicalization, especially in urban India and to an increasing extent in rural areas as well. Abstracts may cover issues pertaining to pregnancy, labour, delivery, postpartum, breastfeeding and newborn health.

     

    Abstracts should be approximately 300 words in length. Abstracts are welcome for posters or oral presentations that address any of the themes below. Sub-themes given are only illustrative. We encourage research findings, policy analyses (social, political, economic), reflections from practitioners, innovations, and any type of experience-sharing.
