I enjoy a self flagellation ritual, while promising to index my collection, each time that I have to search for something.
I think I will join the Procrastination Society, tomorrow.

Subject: [regsaudioforum] organizing CDs
I would think one nice convenience that servers offer is a way of easily accessing CDs. I’m beginning to find it difficult to locate some CDs on my rack. Classical CDs of a single composer are a no-brainer since they can be stored alphabetically. However, it’s the classical CDs that include more than one composer’s work (collections) that are a growing problem for me. Currently I keep “collections” in several areas: orchestral/chamber music (this is the largest area of collections) , choral, solo (including concerti, sonatas etc), band music, and brass solo and ensemble music (I have a lot of them). Jazz recordings are stored alphabetically by artist. Additionally I now have a special section for multi-channel music – my new thing. If anyone has a good way of dealing with this I like to learn about it.
