Of possible interest to HBers, European
radio fans (like me), or folks who for
whatever reasons might like to beef up
      their valve arsenal.

I have a box with several "boxed" tubes.
These came from the stock of a radio
shop that closed down about 30 years
ago. I wound up with it somehow when
i purchased a Nordmende from the owner.
He sorta threw it in. There are several
euro makes in this batch, also packed
are unboxed tubes. I will not pretend
that because they are boxed, they are
new or even NOS or NIB or whatever the
catch-accrostic is. If this guy did
what many shops did, he would retube,
pulling the working, still useable old
ones and put them in the box housing
the new tube. Most shops did this, trust
me. But many of these valves are, indeed,
new. Rather than discriminate, i decided
to just sell them ALL as used. So, just
assume these to be all used . . . and be
surprised to find that Telefunken is actually
      new.

Most of the tubes in this lot are 'boxed', but
a few, boxed separately, are not. Those
that are not i am including free. The
6SL7 among them lost it's box, but it's
actually either new or very nearly so.

Price is based on "boxed" tubes only,
untested,at the rate of about 12 cents each.

I think it's a pretty good deal, anyway.

I have drawn from this cache of valves for
several years without pulling a dud. In
fact, i re-tubed an SB-102 and my family
Nordmende from the stash this box came from.
Probably enough left to get a Grundig
      Majestic going! (wonderful radio!)

Can i diverge? Any you guys old enough to remember
when a schoolboy's economy was based upon marbles?
You had Clearies, Steelies, Bumble-bees, All Americans,
Spaghettis, and "ordinaries". Clearies were worth about
2 Spaghetties, or 3 Steelies, or 5 Bumblebees, or about
      10 "ordinaries".

Doesn't the "tube trade" sorta remind you of that? I have
a few Bumble-bees, a Clearie and 2 Spaghetties in this
box, the rest are Ordinaries. Your shot. BTW, don't shoot
      steelies. They chip glass.

I can shoot the lot of tubes like they do on eBay,
but heck, they look like you'd imagine . . . various
      boxes of shop-tubes.

If there are particular tubes anyone absolutely
needs for me to put on my trusty Sencor before
they decide, i'll do it, no problemo.
