      The 5th Annual Winter Potluck
      Saturday, December 6 at 6 p.m.

Hosted by Chris (a.k.a. "Tiffer") Tarnstrom '95
      12 Stoneholm Street
      Boston, MA

Once again, it's time for the annual gathering of Reed
Alums and their best recipes. This year, it's at the
apartment complex of Chris Tarnstrom, which has an
incredible rooftop common room with kitchen,
fireplace, and fabulous view of Boston. This complex
is located near the Hynes Convention Center and
      Symphony section of Boston.

To ensure a good selection of foodstuffs, here?s our
request on what to bring. Select your favorite
professor from your time at Reed. If his or her last
      name begins with:

The letters A-F, bring a drink or a snack.
The letters G-M, bring an appetizer or soup.
The letters N-S, bring a main dish.
The letters T-Z, bring a dessert.
If you don?t fit into any of the above categories,
      bring whatever you like. :-)

      Reedie Show and Tell:
If you can, dig up some piece of Reed Nostalgia and
bring it to the party. Old Quests, mementoes, photos,
etc. We'll set up a table to display these. Compare
your memories with those of Reedies from different
      eras.

Directions to 12 Stoneholm Street (from the Green Line
      - lines B, C, D):

Arrive at the Hynes Convention Center/Mass. Ave. stop
and get out on to Mass Ave. Walk to the left to the
intersection of Mass. Ave. and Boylston St. Cross both
Mass Ave. and Boylston so you are near the Fleet Bank
      and continue down Mass. Ave.

Take a right down Haviland St. by the Starbucks, take
the first left on Edgerly Rd., and take the first
      right onto Stoneholm.

The building will be directly ahead of you. Go to the
door, state to the person at the door that are with
the Reed College party, and proceed up the elevator to
the 6th floor. The "Garage Room" will be up the stairs
on the right when you exit the elevators on the 6th
      floor.

To see a map, see http://www.reed.edu/~alumni.html

There are two parking spaces available in the
apartment complex. Finding parking is otherwise
difficult. To arrange for use of these spaces during
the potluck, contact Chris Tarnstrom at
      chris_tarnstrom@.... Otherwise, parking on
Mass Ave. between Boylston and Symphony is probably
the best bet, along with Hemenway.

Please RSVP by December 1. You may email Greg Lam at
      stripeyg@... or call 617-451-5051.
