If you want to log more than one site, you'll probably want to use syslog-ng instead of syslog. Otherwise all of your apache logs will be mingled together. Here's a tutorial on setting that up.

I am pouring over the apache documentation and the linux documentation on how to setup remote logging for apache webserver.

Ideally, the webservers are in a DMZ and the logging server is the other side.

The key is we want to be able to preserve the access_log and error_log on a logging server in our corporate network.

It is probably so trivial I am missing it..... I looked at syslog.d and logging for apache 2.2 and both spoke of logging, both neigher showed how to do remote application logging.

We are currently on Solaris moving to RHEL6 before too long.

      Thanks

      Dan
